Your One & Only by Adrianne Finlay (Review)

The world has ended and there are only clones left over. Well, clones and Jack, the last living natural and normal human. The clones made Jack to resurrect much needed parts of their human pasts. For Jack though, this means being the odd man out of the community in the realest sense possible. A complete loaner and outcast, Jack beings to feel for one of the only clones that has ever been kind to him, Althea-310. Althea has always felt a little different from her clone sisters, and when she starts to care for Jack, those differences become more and more obvious to her. Together they will search for meaning, safety and maybe even love.
Very intense and not always in the right way, Your One & Only had some mixed content and storytelling. It went from way too slow to passing very fast over important moments and details. It also had what felt like unnecessary sexual relations that really did nothing for the story and just made the readers more and more uncomfortable. I will give the story this, they did present a lot of moral conundrums. It makes the reader think about what makes us human, when does the greater good justify horrors and the morality of cloning and genetic modification. With all of this amounted for, I give Your One & Only the rating of THREE AND A HALF STARS OUT OF FIVE!!!
